Lidl Cordless Impact Wrench.

  1. Cordless impact wrench, shifts upto 400Nm. They’re in stock now at £59.99 so they’re cheaper than the Clarke wrenches and cordless.

Yes they will get the 55mm wheel nut off. I bought one and removed a 55mm nut yesterday which previously wouldn’t budge using about 2m of scaffold pole leverage.

I do like the middle of Lidl, I only went in for some razors.

  2. I bought a mains version from Lidl about 6 months ago. Only £35, but this version cordless so I guess why the price jump.

Not comparible with my mate's Dewalt that he uses for work everyday (but that's £500ish). But as a garage tool for when only an impact wrench will tighten or undo a nut its perfectly adequate and great value.

  3. I was walking up and down a very well stocked Lidl middle aisle on Saturday, it was torture keeping me from getting anything.

  4. Looks good kit for the money, did the last one undo 400 but only do up 150 ?

  5. Don’t know. I will only use it to undo. I spin the 55mm nut back on by hand and then use a torque wrench to tighten it. 230 Nm.

  9. Getting vague feeling of de ja vu....

I bought one the last time they came around. I have only used it a few times for axle nuts, it's a nice peice of kit for the money and even comes with a selection of large sockets although I had to go and spend another £20 on larger ones for the 848 rear axle. If its for low to medium use you can't really go wrong. If you are a heavy user then it feel it might not last th course; horses for courses and all that.

It is solid, has a decent heft to it and appears to be well made.

It comes with the ubiquitous blow moulded case - waste of fucking money and damaging to the environment so straight in the recycling. It also has a charger and a Mtr + power cord, full instructions and warranty for 3 years. I have used the ALDI/LIDL warranty before so when it drops its guts in a few years you get a new one; HUSSAR! I now mark all my power tools with place and date of purchase and keep receipts!

    SAdddoooo....!

For sub £100 you would be daft not to, and that's from a guy that used to sell power tools for Wurth.

  13. I bought the Lidl one on Sunday. Excellent for £60. Changed over my winter wheels on the car , worked a treat.

  14. I went into Lidl a while back looking for an impact wrench and came out with an England rugby union hoodie.Obviously fake, slightly redesigned emblem.
No good for getting wheel nuts off but keeps me warm when trying.
