  1. Hello All, Just enquiring if anyone has got 1 of these bikes. I was looking for some feedback and your thoughts/ opinions please?

I like the idea of it, but would appreciate some Pros & Cons from owners. I've had a few Monster 1100's in the past so wondered if there was any similarities if any at all between the 2.

    Many Thanks

  2. I had a Monster 1200r in the past and now- since July 2020- a Scrambler 1200 Pro Sport. Quite different bikes. I also have a 1260 Multi.
The Scrambler is a brilliant, fun naked. Loads of torque and acceleration from low revs up to the legal limit and of course beyond if you wish but personally I think naked bikes are most enjoyed at speeds up to the legal limit.
Handling is amazing and the bike just goes round anything. Wonderful noise ( have the full Termi fitted) and comfortable. Love it.
It isn’t, and doesn’t pretend to be, a 1200 r or a Tuono. Horses for courses and depends what you want the bike for.

  3. I’ve had my 1100 Pro Sport for 9 months and done 2500 miles. The engine is a peach, loads of low down grunt and sounds brilliant. Brakes are good, it handles very well and looks awesome.

The seat is a little hard, the edges cut into my thighs slightly (but I’m only 5’6’).
It’s VERY hot. In the summer, around town commuting it gets nuclear. It’s uncomfortable at best.
The Ohlins is firm, not like the other Scrambler 1100s. If you test ride another model it won’t prepare you for the ride. Great in the twisties but too harsh for urban potholed roads.
The bars are low but comfortable. They’re more cafe racer than scrambler.

Overall I’d say it has real attitude. To me it’s a similar experience to an original Monster.

  4. Thanks for the posts. I've taken a deposit on my Monster 1200R and am looking for something a little different once it's collected, but with good handling as mentioned. I know they'll be differences between them, so not too bothered about that. I can always get the Suspension set up by Kais Ohlins specialists if needs be. I just need to go and sit on 1 and see what there like.

I ride a V4 on track so understand the heat situation. The 1199 gets Nuclear too.

  5. May be selling my 1100 SportPro -first registered July 2020, as new with full Termi and Billet mirrors. Just to mention as I probably need to return to one bike!
