Anyone got one of the puig screens on ebay? any good? ad says virtual wind tunnel tested, better than standard I would put a link but don't kno how, if you input "newly listed" they're there
I've got this short one - looks great, works fine; obviously you get more wind, but sometime presence it more wanted than practicality Windscreen Puig Ducati Multistrada 1200 10-12 smoke racing double bubble screen | eBay
"Virtual" means "in essence but not actually", so what they are saying is "it has NOT been tested in a wind tunnel"
Virtual, may also mean that its been tested on a computer simulated wind tunnel, but not in an actual real life one ?
Just done my second euro tour and the bike again was faultless, it is out if warranty and I was a little concerned but again the biggest issue was wind buffetting on motoways. I borrowed a pals puig screen, standard size. Yes it was better than my small screen ..... On motoways but again I am convinced that the problem is the area where people have designed the winglets. I just can't understand why 1 of these bigger companies don't design a screen to deflect the wind from this area, I'm sure they would make a killing
I've also got the one SuperMotoBoy illustrates and I think it looks great and does a better job than standard more wind but better flow........ if that makes any sense I would recommend from my experience.
I'm beginning to think the "less is more" philosophy is the one for me. I'm running a cut down standard screen and with a set of Aztec spacers and my new Shoei GT Air i get no buffeting and only a little noise. I do like the look of the Puig sport screen though.
I agree Paul . Screens are really individual thing I have found over many years , due to individual body differences and riding positions . But IMHO less is more ;-)
I had a test ride on a Triumph Trophy recently and while it was a great bike, the handling at speed on the motorway had me hanging on for grim death. Felt very nervy - not half as planted as the multi does. I'll stick with small screens from now on.
