quick shifters were a problem but an easy fix, throttle mod is a must in my opinion, but pretty reliable in general
I'm about 2 hours away, but my daughter lives there, so I've got a good reason to visit. How long have you owned it, and where are the pics?
That seems like a great price bought my 959 last year with similar mileage and same exhausts for a little under that. Imagine it makes it easier to insure too. Glws
Ive not had any issues on my 1299. the throttle mod is a must and cheap mod. You may need to take heat protection precautions. Here is a link to the good shit. https://www.oldhallperformance.com/heatshield/products Oh and leather troosers without the elastic internal thigh part helps with the burny bits. Not a prob spring and mid season, can be a pain in >30°+ when slow in towns. Ok once moving again. The fairing screws rattle off. Ive lost count how many ive replaced. You cant loctite anything with rubber top hats. If you do, well good luck. The brakes are so good you slide up tank a bit, get a tank extender like the one that @Nelson has for sale at a competative price here. Perfect. The riding modes are good, but tbh mine is in race 100% of the time. Dont ride around in a mode with low engine power for a month like I did, then decide to put it in full race mode. Jesus fucking wept scared the shit out of me. It is fucking fast. Makes the 11 feel slow and it isnt.
Tough to say but bet you are slim with 29 inseam? If so I’d be amazed if much different to how it is on a 1198. It is height adjustable remember if needed, just the same.
I'm not slim, but my thigh is only 22". Comes down to how wide the front of the seat is I guess. My S1000RR was lower, but maybe the seat/frame was wider. The footrest also got in the way of putting my leg straight down. Only way to tell is to sit on a 1299 I guess.
Was that an R or RR? I had an R when my RR was in for a service, and I think it was lower. Or maybe just being sat more upright helped.
