  1. I was a little tired of looking at the rusty springs, collars .. so I've ordered some new stainless steel with red collars from CT moto, I am thinking.... when I change the springs, I will have cleaned everything!

But how is the best way to clean ?? with som chemicals or just wipe with paper ... or what do I need??

  2. Brake cleaner?

  3. And compressed air (but do it outside).

  4. I use isopropyl alcohol to clean my plates etc, works well and leaves no residue. If you have an air compressor then that can be a real bonus. Don't breathe in the dust though

  5. Thanks...

I have an air compressor ;-)

I go to my local shop, to see if they have brake cleaner... or else, ( I have to figure out what the danish name is isopropyl.. it must some cleaning shit for housekeeping) :)

  6. Your local auto paintshop should have some, they use it for final prep before painting, to "degrease"

  7. Panel wipe is another option as mentioned above but it is not totally alcohol based it is more like lighter fluid. In the UK it's about £6 to £7 per litre I use it as well but it is different to pure alcohol. Both do not leave any residue which is the main thing.

Another alternative is methylated spirit (wood alcohol) again no residue.

  8. I just picked up, som brake cleaner... now I am only waiting for my parts :)
