He just lived too long. Thats what killed him in the end.

 

That sounds like the old one about stepping into an empty lift shaft ....
..... it's not the fall that kills you ..... it's the concrete in the basement .

He lived as long as he was meant to, not "too long".

 

He must be the first person over 80 whose death wasn’t “Covid related” since March 2020

 

My mother died a couple of months back aged 91 and cause of death on the certificate was ‘Frailty of Age’ which I thought was an elegant way of saying she was tired and old and had simply had enough. ( simply stopped eating and took a month to finally end her days -despite being in a nursing home luckily I could visit her everyday albeit togged up. )

 

Same with my mum in December '20. 94 and had had enough....

 

Didn’t he have Covid last year? Long Covid maybe

My mum died back in 2016, she made it to 99 3/4 bless her. Cause of death on certificate was 'old age'.
