Hi there, take a look at my money pit

  1. Hello, thought i'd post this in here, if its in the wrong place, please feel free to move it mods.

I'm guessing most people on here are from the Ducatisti forum of old, if so, some may remember me vaguely, if not I'm Oli from Notts and this is my 2010 848

(Now I can imagine most purists will hate it and I'll be scorned for defacing such a beautiful bike, but hey, I dig it!)

  2. I like it, although if I were you I would try to forget how much it's all cost ! The only thing I'm not sure about are the mirror blanking plates. Mind you, not sure what you could do about them other than paint to match the fairing ?

  3. Well its thumbs up from me, very very nice.

  4. I like it, its different :upyeah:

I hate standard bikes- even Duc's.

  5. Big thumbs up from me too! Very nice indeed. :upyeah:

  6. I remember Oli from UKMOC and a rideout around Liestershire in 07, is it u? welcome :) ur 848 looks awsome.

  7. Cheers for the kind words guys, no that's not me mate lol

  8. Dont matter none anyway 14990 :) nice your here bud :upyeah:

  9. Fantastic looking bike!!!!

  10. I actually really like the look of this bike. The paint scheme really suits the 848, in my view.

  11. What a nail.

  12. Again, thanks guys. The paint on the seat unit was my own design and I had Paint Supremacy of Lincolnshire do the airbrushing. The rest of the colour on the side panels and nose cone is all vinyl. That was designed by Gray of Zero One Race FX. I gave him a few ideas/guidelines and this is what he designed on his computer, then printed/cut the vinyl and fitted it. The seat unit paint alone was £25 more expensive than all of the design/cut/fit of the vinyl. I love the idea of vinyl wraps as an alternative to paint now.

  13. Defaced?????????????? Think not.

  14. Haha thought I'd find you on here! The bike is absolutely jaw dropping mate and I was surprisingly took back by your dads even though it's not my usual cup of tea. Hays off to you mate

  15. On the fact of sounding thick - im guessing this is a track weapon only?? lol

  16. Now then Steed, I love his Streetfighter too, its nice and simple compared to this monstrosity lol.

Nelson, I remember you too, how you getting on with your 848? Yeah I may have been infected a little by the modifying virus lol

Edit: Wilksy, no its primarily a road bike but it has been on track once last year and will go on again a few times this year.

  17. I remember you from the oldie site.
Bike looks great in my book....You sure like yr modding!

Prefer the original/vented exhaust heat shield though.

    Well done...:upyeah:

  18. 848 was destroyed, now replaced by an evo.
Also have a 748/1098 project keeping me busy/poor...

  19. Ah, bad times, at least you're still going though. Project sounds interesting lol.

  20. More detail/pics re. the tank breather set up!
