I have not used the Multi since last summer. Its been sat in my garage fast asleep. I cant remember if I had this display reading (Service Date) on the dash before, or if its new? I had it out for a run today. I also discovered I have the fecking annoying fuel sensor failure too now, but is the service indicator telling me I need one - or not ? Nothing else displays (aside from the fuel flash) just this message
The service interval is mileage or time, whichever comes first. If it has been 12 months since your last service, the answer is, yes, the bike think it needs a service. Whether it needs one in practical terms, it's your choice. Andy
I think your air temperature sensor may be lying too. If it’s saying you need to do the annual service, but you don’t need to because you’re doing your servicing by mileage, you can mislead it, by changing the date the bike thinks it is in the bikes menu.
Thanks for the reply The bike was still hot from being out and then sitting in my garage. The heat was still coming up off it. That's why its showing a high temp reading. It was circa 18 degrees when riding. I changed the date previously to hide the message, but it still leaves me puzzling what the bike is actually saying ? If its a service indication I would have expected a countdown of days and/or mileage too? Is it, or is not a message to get it done ?
