848 848 Price Guide?

  1. Thinking of moving on my 848 which an 08 with 26k ish on the clocks.
I've seen this one in the link below but am not sure if they are just being massively optimistic. Hoping other on here could suggest a ballpark price. I was thinking about £4800 without the end can and rear shock.

    Details of mine as below:

Sensible upgrades. Termis and and Ohlins du511 i'd do a decent deal on these to save me taking them off. Also carbon shorty mudguard, weighted bar ends and quick action throttle. I do have a loose Ohlins 19/70 spring if you are a similar 11 stone. Suspension setup by Alpha suspension in Morley.

Serviced myself during last years lockdown ready for the summer that never really happened. Not moved since mot on 1st of September.

    Belts from Exige.
Fluids, oil+filter, coolant, brake and clutch.
    Pads front.
Fuel filter, replaced the cheesium pump bolts whilst I was there so easy access in future.
Replaced the headlight connectors, these seem to scorch as a fairly common problem so replaced before they failed.

Tyres chain and sprocket changed <1k miles ago.

    New battery this week.

Bad points: The tank drain pipe is faulty, this caused some minor marks to the fuel fuel tank paint. It hasn't degraded since it initially occurred a few years ago.

Photos aren't from today as i'm currently skiving whilst on a work call. Overall it looks great and always attracts wierdos at the fuel pump who insist on telling you how fast their rd350 was. That said it isn't a garage queen, its seemingly the cheapest on the net at the moment and does have stone chips etc.

Any suggestions on a realistic price would be welcome, it seems like used sportsbike prices are bonkers at the moment so not sure where to pin it.

  2. Termi’s & Ohlins would help the sale obviously but £4800 without is a good price for an entry level 848 I’d say. Maybe price it at £5k with the add ons?
26k? No problem at that price imo, but watch out for the mileage police on here though ;) GLWS

  3. Where abouts are you ?
Any pictures of the fuel damage to the tank ?

  4. I may be interested in the coming weeks.

  5. Thanks for the interest I did end up posting this in the for sale section for a bit with update photos but took it down as I haven't been able to find anything to replace it with due to the weird state of the bike market at the moment. If things start moving again post lockdown I will probably relist it.
