Crc Fairings On A V4r

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by MJay, Mar 14, 2021.

  1. Anyone fitted some?

How did you find it? What's the score with the supplied brackets?

  2. Had a very poor experience with CRC fairings, gave them 2 chances on 2 different bikes. Never again. For not a lot extra, you can buy an unpainted set of OE track fairings complete with blanking plates and wiring plugs, https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/accessories/search?family=SB# that fit. Andy

  3. You’ve bought the V4R. Now buy the FullSix fairing kit. Beautiful stuff... :):upyeah: Beautiful fit ;):upyeah:

  4. Be careful to buy the correct fairing, the Fullsix race fairing is not designed to fit a standard V4R. Andy

  5. I have and also have the CRC kit here, will see how well it fits. Had very good experiences in the past with them so we will see. This is purely a track bike from this point
The reason I didn't buy was because of this and also the delays in shipping I hear are a problem at the moment.

  9. Ha ha, aren't they all??

  10. All except the Ducati ones :D shame you need 6000 screws and weigh as much as 3 aftermarket fairings.

  11. So I'm looking to buy a set of racing fairings for V4R.

CRC are known to have quality issues, but they work and chepeast of all. Had to trim them a bit on BMW, but all good in the end.

Interested to know how they are on V4R. Another good thing is they made by reactive parts, and they always have spares.

  12. Difference in price between CRC fairing kit and Ducati track fairing kit is £60. I chose the Ducati kit over CRC because the quality of the 2 fairing kits CRC supplied previously for my 748R and my 1098R were only fit for the local tip. Andy

  13. I didnt realize Ducati themselves making track fairings. Thanks for the feedback, it makes sense.

  14. Bought it through JHP/ Ducati Coventry. Included a rear hugger & L shaped frame protectors which bolt to the bike, not stuck on like most after market options. I ordered it back in November 2019 and I think the whole fairing kit was upwards of £1100+VAT approx. This doesn't include the hugger or frame protectors. JHP were doing multiple orders at the same time to reduce any delivery/ extra charges. Not sure if the prices have changed much now that we're out of the EU though.

Difficult to provide a more accurate price, as I had a few other things on order at the time.

  15. The CRC kit needs ALOT of cutting to get fit and the finish isn't great. It is light though.

I fitted it up but wasn't happy so went with the Ducati kit. It's heavy but OEM quality as expected. Perfect fit.
