Morning, have a 2014 1199 running termi's and a rapid bike evo ecu and it's developed an 8000rpm misfire in 2nd and 3rd gear, which feels like I'm losing a cylinder. Changed the plugs, checked connectors and nothing seems out of place, anyone have issues with the coils, thought that might happen at other rpm's, yet runs perfect, no matter the throttle load upto this point. Chasing my tail a bit on this, so thought I'd ask.
Do you have an Engine light on ??? Sounds just like a MAP sensor failure, very very common and exhibits just like this before complete fairly, there are 2, one for each cylinder, they take about 20 mins to change, problem is without getting it on a code reader there is no way of knowing other than trial and error which one it is, unless you replace both. I keep one in my kitbag as standard practice fro trackdays.
