Iv found that due to illness im not using my beautiful, sport classic 1000s. To be honest im not overly worried if she sells or not as i still enjoy the odd short fast run. Anyhows there are lots of photos on the forum of the bike and she has passed mot this morning and is in fantastic condition with 5500 miles. The bike which iv owned for over seven years is heavily improved over standard but comes with all original equipment to return to stock condition, she runs on kineo wheels which are super expensive light weight forged with stainless spokes complete with pirelli diablo rosso corsa tyres,suspension is taken care of with ohlins twin rear shocks and showa fully adjustable monster forks revalved by and using k tech parts.The cutch is an 848 ducati performance dry slipper clutch conversion complete with an oberon slave which converts from a wet to a dry set up giving that distinct ducati noise, also both engine cases are upgraded to very expensive very light ncr magnesium cases and even the fuel cap is an ncr item . Induction is taken care of by a wasp power up kit, this removes the airbox and replaces with velocity stacks, k&n filters ( also on the breather pipes) pc111 and a custom map fine tuned on the dyno that delivers faultless smooth drive,exhaust is a twin stainless conti replica full system and is currently using the db killers. Timing belt covers have been replaced with carbon items and there are various titanium fasteners to help the weight loss . The front brakes have been upgraded to black brembo 4 pot calipers on standard disks, both brake and clutch benefit from now having red aftermarket hell lines with stainless end fittings. The steering damper has been upgraded to an ohlins item and makes a dramatic change over the original, mirrors are black bar mounted rizoma items, and a palatov tail tidy has improved the looks at the rear of the bike. Included along with all standard parts is a ducati bike cover and the ducati performance rear stand. As im sure you appreciate this is a rare bike with very tasty add ons but can easily be returned to standard, the bike pulls and drives faultlessly and the noise both exhaust and induction is exquisite this bike draws sooooo much attention, Im asking £12500. If you’re in no rush to sell and not in need of the cash then keep it. An occasional fast run out is a great tonic for the soul.

Mervyn when you sit down and work out the cost of the extras its astronomical. Even the chain and sprockets are changed, im sure there are lots other wee touches iv forgotten, hand made exhaust carriers spring to mind. Iv enjoyed the bike and esp the ds1000 engine its a real peach and so so easy to service.I had the forks serviced at a local ohlins guy and he commented how someone has spent big money building them.
