Nose Code Dating

  2. Down the left - Years
    Left to right - Months
    Last dot dictates year and month

    Nov 99

    If using the round type
    Centre number - year
    Dots around outside - month (count from 1 to 12)

  4. There’s an awful lot of time stamp dots...So did Ducati start making it in March 97 and there were at least 18 recordable production steps, or was the Waco Kid doing the time stamps with his left hand?

  6. Thanks Chris , I’ve never looked at the plastics on my bike really in detail , I always wondered how people know it was oem , I never knew they had numbers and date codes on , clever stuff thanks for the info again
