It certainly is a beauty for sure. You really need to get a full system and have the baffle removed. It does become offensively loud but in a way that a hyper should sound. Its really great out of town, bellowing and fast. I am not having the issues I thought I would with the high seat. I am on tip toes but the bike seems so balanced and higher than the car mirrors that it seems easy to navigate my way through. I am having to get used to such a loud exhaust around town, I ride through Westminster, Buckingham Palace and Parliament Sq. now I have to keep strictly at 30mph all the way as I am so noisy now the police on the side of the road know Im coming way before they see me. I get many people ooogling the bike at the lights, which is nice. I've been buying some kit from Germany. beck-berger | eBay But, I should be getting it from the UK i.e. Ducati Aylesbury/On Yer Bike. They can order any part for you and send it to you. Its cheaper postage than ordering from Germany. recently found out. Call Zak at On Yer Bike T: 01296 655999 Or get back to your dealer, I bought my SP from Ducati Aylesbury and they said because I bought the bike from them they would fit my Full system for free!! Oh yeah, the tank was pretty easy. I had a quick flick through before installing, then just did it without. If you look at this site it actually has instructions. http://store.proitalia.com/bodywork-c-22_2420288_2420289.html Here see the instructions tab http://store.proitalia.com/ducati-h...-cover-p-170494.html?cPath=22_2420288_2420289
Good to hear you're enjoying your new hyper, I had mine for a month now and it's sooooo good. I've owned and or ridden some bikes in my 30 years of biking but this is with out a doubt the best. So agile and light with 10:10 grin factor everytime!!...Would be interested to know how your lowering investigations go as I could do with an inch myself and will be try the original seat as I too went for the lowered option (although the dealer threw that in for free). The fuelling can be a bit lumpy at some revs but as I read somewhere Ducati will sort this. Your german supplier of gucci bits looks good too. Is he reliable? I would like a low fit aftermarket pipe but in carbon. Know of any? The only other pipe than the Termi is an SC Project but its a high level one. I like the termi but its a lot of dosh. I bought some throw over luggage which should be with me by wednesday next week. Can't wait to get it abroad in the mountains. ))
I have not done anything with the seat height as yet. It is tip toe high but I am managing. I am thinking of getting the standard SP seat cut and lowered, same profile. I even took the entire seat off and sat on the frame! Even that was pretty high. I have tried the seat you see earlier (lower seat, not touring lower seat) and found it was no lower but it was wider so it made it worse as the standard SP seat is narrower. I have the full termi system so I would guess I have a different map. it is ever so slightly lumpy at around 2k rpm. Apart from that its great. I use it alot for town riding, so I am just revving it a little more at the lights. The full system was something I had to do with this bike. If you are in the UK, I would use the Onyer bike people. As you would not pay so much postage. Then again. If you order it from german you can send it back if its not a good fit. I returned that seat you see. They offer a tracking DHL number, yes they are reliable. I have bought around 5 carbon parts from them. All new and packed well. I would not have been able to do that with ordering it from UK.
Really love the new hypermotard have owned both the 950 and 990 KTM supermoto's and they are fantastic machines, the only bike that is stopping me is the 1290 superduke!! Do you really need 185BHP for the road!
See, I thi that is awful! Like a streetfighter butt-fucked a TNT Benelli thing then they mixed a little test-tube jizz from a Yam FZ1 for spice
