Beautiful day here sun and blue sky and it’s my boys birthday Costa coffee and bacon buttie and Krispy Kreme donughts for him (us)
I've just completed this decking for a client this morning, the time taken was 3.5 hours, just not sure where the time goes these days.
Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day. though art far, far lovelier. Some bloke from Stratford I believe, East Enders get everywhere!
Today we’ve been round the Bodleian library and assorted colleges in Oxford…….very interesting indeed
Spent ages on hold with my bank Because of their unscrupulous banking operations with buying of bad debts they are turning the screws on their customers Filling out an online questionnaire whilst on the phone under the threat of them being able to close down my business account carries its own type of stress. I’m going to drink beer later.
Just been up the Monday bike night fair few up there for possibly the last good Monday night of the year, just got back before dark. A few stand out bikes below, although don’t much like the Bimota TBH.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-northamptonshire-58642224 No real winners here and a nasty diplomatic situation. I hope the parents find peace after all this mess. Let’s hope the laws are changed for any future events. Which is about sod all chance if you work for the CIA.
Certainly a win for CIA operative in that she won’t have give evidence in a U.K. court there have been so few times that countries have taken away a diplomats protection that it was unlikely that USA would have. The law won’t change as it was designed to protect diplomats from being prosecuted in countries they are posted to. America could have removed the immunity should they have so desired but clearly decided not to. I doubt there will ever be any closure or comfort taken by the parents other than they took the case as far a they possibly could. Devastating that they lost their Son to an RTA doubly so that there has been no day in a U.K. court.
Spent the day being poked and prodded about,….but not in a good way First off this morning,…blood pressure review,..140 over 90, that’ll do, near enough Then.. “Oh, while you’re here I might as well give you a flu jab”…….ouch ! “And a pneumonia jab”…..ouch again ! Then after lunch I’d been invited to have one of these…. Standard check on blokes over a certain age,..29 ish .bugger,….though I’d cropped that 65 off the pic! Goes in, lays on the bed, nursey squirts gel all over my rippling abs and it kind of spluttered and shot up my tummy and I said……..”no wonder you girls don’t like us Jizzing on yer bellies”! Actually, I didn’t but I was really tempted Anyhow, I could see the screen from where I was and all my internal gubbins, so in an attempt to lighten the mood and get a smile out of nursey I said…” you can’t see my 10mm socket in there anywhere can you?”…..well I swear some tumbleweed blew through the room absolutely zilch response… It was then I thought,..thank God I didn’t use the Jizz comment ! All good with the screening though, fit as a butcher’s dog, that’ll do for me
Today we’ve been to Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh, Bourton on the water and Upper & Lower Slaughter. All very picturesque.
Picked my daughter up from her part time job tonight, and let her drive home. She's had four lessons so far. I'm writing this from home and the car is still in one piece, although my nerves aren't!.
