I live about 10km from the circuit, unbelievably all the supermarkets around here have been banned from selling alcohol this weekend... For everyone! What a joke.
I'd watch a little bit last night when the Kawasaki boys were applauded by the other crews lifting in their damaged bike down the pit lane that was dropped with the fastest lap at that stage.
Just tuned in, didn’t last long, Ducati were out 257 laps ago! But attrition if horrific- 50% of the field are out Suzuki leading but in with some issues, 15 laps margin mind you
Major issue within the the first few hours. They were talking about it last night. Apparently a lot are blaming the ping straight for blowing engines. Most seem to be out with major engine failure. Commentators said its had a wind change so assume its behind and the gearing means they are using all the revs all the time.
So after digging the internet, I learned what was the second issue with BMW - overheated engine and shutdown. Here Mikhalchik is saying it had 116C running temp. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1257638338042145
Just watched the highlights programme real shame the Ducati crashed out. Greg Black looks fast and smooth i wonder how he’d go on a BSB bike but I guess he’s making a decent living racing on the continent.
