  1. Never started ... :-(

  2. If I bought it I'd have to ride it!

  3. The engine has seized

  4. Looking at threads elsewhere some wd40 and a hammer should sort that.

  7. 848 owner at his best LOL

  8. And I'll be enjoying it this weekend :upyeah:

    and then next weekend :upyeah:

then as many weekends as I can

  9. Come to think of it..
If Mke H didn't win on a 900ss in 78 at the TT ducati would of gone bust...
If the 851 was a total flop in racing like the Panigale in races which mean something
We would not have 848 owners! Fantastic!

  10. They would all own CBR600's and talk about how they won the TT in 78 on a 750 four :upyeah:

  11. When your 848 has clocked up:wink: 52'000 miles like Steve B's 888 comment!

  12. And there would be no one to rule the elitist my-cocks-bigger-than eh ;-)

Dododododododo flashback moment...2005... DOC meeting...turn up on 748...ignored and nose-turned....but funny I was the one riding, they were talking about what they were 'building' next...

  13. Ha Ha DSC members Get fleeced by teflon and STILL slag off DOC :upyeah:

  14. Ha ha ha DOC are fine, its bevelheads attitude towards anything post 1960 tech and their sneery nature that lets them down ;-)

  15. i was i menber od DOC when i had my hailwood rep 20 years ago , and it was full of Nobs & snobs then a total waste of time , but i did only join to get cheaper spairs and had no interest in the bullshit politics of the club ,later joined the Italian riders club much better bunch

  16. Funny lookin "81". Can't be many left like that though.
Rather have mine with a few more k's on it, at least I can ride the bloody thing.

  17. Or 916, 996, monster etc. in fact if mike h didn't win in'78 as you say ducati would be bust

  18. I've ridden an MHR and found it somewhat underwhelming. The brakes are of an era, as is the whole bike. TBH, I've never liked the look much - always thought the 900SS was a lot more stylish.

OK for a quick curiosity scoot, but not something I'd ever want to own.

I will now be flamed to oblivion for this avowal. Sorry.

  19. What No insults!
I'm just off out to give the old fellas MHR bevel a blast as he can't ride it at the mo but is on the mend.
52,000 and still going strong
