When I was “on the tools” we had a fair bit of aggro with the early Dell machines blue screening. Also weirdly a lot of hard drive failures on the xps units. i have heard this is a thing of the past now though. No machine is without its faults. a few years ago Lenovo had issues with battery’s and keyboards as well as well as the odd screen failure. Mine have all been fine since replacement and the business support has been superb.
Congrats! You've mentioned that video editing software works great. Though you haven't mentioned the specific name I will assume that you use something like Premiere, davinci resolve and be prepared that in a couple of years with the new updates these will barely run. And since you asked for pointers just check how to merge videos on windows 10 here. It is super easy with movavi.
so after reviewing Dell and a HP I went for a Lenovo V15 in the end, as it was lest than half the cost and twice the spec..
I got a MacBook Air for c£1200 Great piece of kit. They last too. I bought it late last year to replace my 2010 model
Glad you made your choice - I spent ages deciding ! But now you have got me looking at laptops again OOOHHHH !
