Guys, It was great to meet up with those of you who made it on the Benson run, brilliant to put some faces to names!! Incredibly hot, but a really fun ride all the same, with good company all round. Now looking forward to the next time, I'll have to leave the Mille in the garage for a bit, I'd forgotten how much fun the Multi' was to 'spin-up', if you know what I mean.... Yup....Kirky did it again .........niceone Ian....little less hot for the next one maybe?! (looking forward to doing the Benson/Buckingham route again ;-) We were chatting about fuel consumption at one point...........round trip 287.2 miles (inc M4/M5, A420 to/from the rideout): CONS.M 50.1 .....sounds rather good doesn't it?! ....yes too good to be true!.....33+% error over ACTUAL figure of 35.7! Good to meet old and new friends and we'll have to do the Buckingham run again soon Andy, I am shocked at 1) Instrument MPG inaccuracy and 2) 35 MPG? What were you doing man! I'm going to check mine next time - Instrument VS calculated to see if mine is that bad!
.....keeping up with you! lol......I don't think the heat will have helped mpg ;-) It will be interesting to have some more CONS.M verses actual mpg calcs......I think the error will be much the same across the board. Email me the original camera photo file please ;-)
I get better than that from my 848. Around 12l does 100 miles which is c38mpg. No wonder multis have such large tanks ;-)
In the photo some people are clearly waiting to get away, while others are P/ssing about with clocks :tongue:
