Rosso Corsa’s Or S22’s?

  1. I need a fresh set of road tyres and not sure which to go for?
Don’t do a lot on the road, but I also use them for any cold track sessions instead of slicks so not sure which will be best for that type of use?

Going to try away from Supercorsas as they seem to wear so quick, hoping for a bit more life out of them.

  2. If you are considering the Rosso, have a look at the Metzeler Sportec M7RR or M9RR. Andy

  3. used both on track and much preferred the s22's, especially the front. Have M9RR's on SDR, seem pretty decent too, but no track experience with them yet.

  4. Used both road and track. I have S22 on my GSXR and have done two days on them in March. Excellent and ever so slightly better value than the Pirelli.

  5. Perfect thanks, S22’s it is

  6. I am going to by new tires for my 996 for which I have 2 sets of rim. My idea is the following
    First set
Bridgestone Batalax Racing R11 front 120/70/R17 soft and rear 180/55R17 medium. As set for circuit days in dry condition

    Second set
Bridgestone Batalax BT-016 PRO front 120/70 ZR17 and rear 180/55 ZR17. As set for circuit days in wet condition and a bit of street.
    Any suggestions ?

  7. I wouldnt touch BT016’s again, they are beyond shite.
My mates CBR came with R11 and they were basically dangerous.

    I’d look elsewhere.

  8. I like the 60 profile rear on the 916/996/998 - sharpens the steering, masses of edge grip. Very good on track. Might cause hugger clearance issues if you have one fitted, but that can be address

  9. Out of the two, Corsa’s for fun s22 for longevity.
Tyres are always a personal preference tho!
