Sadly I have no photographs to share of any motorised vehicles I’ve ever owned. Bought as a write off, Purple wheels and bodywork and White frame. Back then it was a case of sourcing parts from the classifieds of MCN or GR Ducati’s photocopied parts list mail order. Who sadly is no longer with us after a horrific accident at Brands Hatch in a WSBK round.
Thanks for the reply’s, I have edited my 1st post as I have learned what is I like, that’s a 1992 white frame, black wheel 851, with the later 888 body style, seem to be quite rare but will keep looking. Thanks for the guidance. Nick.
Apart from the black screen, this seems pretty honest https://www.ducatiglasgow.co.uk/pages/used/used-bikes/1992-44-DUCATI-851-0cc/8914.htm
The '89, '90 and '91 851's had 32/28mm valves. The '92's had 33/29mm's the same as the 888cc SP2, SP3, SP4 and the 888cc Strada's, making the '92 851 the most powerful of all the 851's. Although the '92's had a steel fuel tank this tank was actually lighter than the alloy ones fitted to the earlier 851's. Steve R
851 with just 2600 miles from new, so it must be in mint condition like it left the factory from day one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203667041927?hash=item2f6b806e87:g:zkoAAOSwUKJhds1W
