Hi guys, As per title, I am at a dead end with my capabilities and knowledge with a project 1996 900 ss that I managed to get running but is burning oil and produces white smoke under acceleration. I ran a compression test (cold bike as she drained the battery and did not start) and got 140psi on front cylinder and 110 on rear. I wonder if anyone can recommend a good and honest mechanic in Surrey, UK, or if anyone who is willing to help lives nearby Cobham. Thanks!
Yes used to look after my 996 before I moved to Germany. He also taught me how to do Desmo valve service when I booked a 1 on 1 learn to do Desmo service. Since then I do all my own work.
