  1. Hi I'm after a new tank protector for my 1098 and none on ebay seem to take my eye, i want something subtle like plain carbon and i definately dont wany cheap stuff! where can i get a really good, carbon tank protector????

  2. Try searching google for QB Carbon dude and they make a proper rigid carbon tank protector.

  3. The best gel type tank protector for me, has to be the Ducati Performance one.....

Try the dealers like Ducati Glasgow or Moto Rapido, the genuine one is only about 20 quid.

  4. Mmmm cheers chaps I'll check both out. I think I'm swayin towards a gel one because I've seen solid ones and theyre a bit too big looking. I'm a firm believer you can never have too much carbon BUT it's there to enhance not conceal!

  5. Oh you can have too much carbon Steed, I love my carbon but I am aware that there are limits lol. I agree that the rigid ones are too big but I read your post as that's what you meant lol. Don't know if you noticed the one on mine but thats a gel one. Apprantly its real carbon in the gel however I am sceptical. Check my thread on here or my FB for pics of my gel one.

  6. Here's my DP one.....

  7. Aye, that the same as mine, does the job and I got mine in as a freebie when I bought the bike so I wasn't grumbling. Looks far better than you far too frequently seen gixer logo emblazened tank pads and others of a similar ilk.

  8. That's exactly what I'm after. The only one iv found on eBay like that is in new York but its about £20 inc postage. I might have a little trip to Ducati Manchester at the weekend. If they don't stock them I can at least book a test ride on an 1199 panigale :S haha

  9. If Ducati Glasgow or Moto Rapido have one in stock you'll have it next day.....but I don't think they do mail order test rides!
