1098 Fuel Tank Swelling

  1. Hi

I am wondering how easy is it to spot a tank that has swelled, is there a certain part that this affects and does it make it difficult to remove the tanks. I am looking at buying a 1098 so I am after a few pointers what to look for.

    Thanks
    Paul

  2. Check for a gap between the tank and steering damper. No gap/rubbing = swollen tank.

  3. Ok thanks easy to check that is good.

  4. I noticed on my tank that on the sides where you put your knees you could see dimples in the tank if you looked at certain angles.
