Hello everybody Long story short, my dashcam gets screwed up when I crank the bike. The way it's wired now is that it sits on 12V output from the charging port. Starts up fine but the temporary cut off when the bike fires up, messes with it and it stops recording. So, I was wondering if there is an easy/clean way of getting 12V output as soon as the bike fires up and not before that. My understanding is that there are two ways of achieving this: either have the dashcam on the battery behind a relay and let it turn on by getting a 12V input to the relay (small amperage) or get high amperage (it's PSU needs 2A) by stealing from a wire like the one feeding the headlights (which turn on as soon as the bike is fired up). Is there any switched output like that that is easily accessible? I would like to avoid hurting cables if at all possible. What are my options? Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks

Hello @maja2, thanks for your response. Although I don't know if this plug is present (I will look for it), doesn't it go live as soon as the bike is turned on? This is what I am trying to avoid.
Finally I understood your problem, the first answer was in too hurry How about keep it simple and just adding hardware switch for camera : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...416575355617353739eb369!12000027324319790!sea
I use an Optimate O105 USB Charger Optimate O105 USB Charger : Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo this comes on with the ignition but won't power the camera until it senses a higher voltage with the engine running. Stays put in the dash socket as well.
