  1. Anyone else has this issue?

I bought the bike already with the exhaust installed, but I’m wondering if this is normal or it’s badly installed? Or maybe the link pipe is the wrong dimensions?
Not sure how much worse this will get over time, honestly I don’t really mind cosmetic imperfections like this, but still seems odd

  2. Im pretty sure the earlier model bikes and fairings had this issue. What year is your bike and is the lower fairing the original?
I believe newer fairings were issued, either with a larger cutout, or with heat shielding inside the fairing.

  3. I have SL headers and I had to cut that area away because its a larger diameter, will send a photo, but they all seem to have this problem even the Termi pipes

  4. Ok thanks for letting me know, yes indeed the motorcycle is the older version 2014 899. However it does seem like the pipe is not running exactly parallel to the cut-out, I will try to remove the lower fairing and see maybe something is not aligned properly still

  5. My 899 with Termi's doesn't suffer any heat issues with belly pan.
