916 Blue Air Pressure Sensor

  1. The quality inspector initials are usually GM. Early bikes initiated in marker pen and later bikes using an ink stamp. I’ve not seen the DS initials before.

  2. C’mon… @RC1 , everybody knows that!

  3. I remember when you used to be a nice fella Sev when I bought something from you.
It’s just an observation after years of being an enthusiast, owning stuff and being observant. I have a few bikes and a mountain of parts so if I do comment it’s from experience not ignorance.

  4. Not at all Most of the 916 out there are as original as “triggers broom” anyway. More stock rotation than Tesco.

  5. On a slightly serious note given that info and stock photography of the S is rare chris can i run a few things past you?

  6. One of which is whether there was an option at the time of purchase to spec a carbon pack of sorts. Mines has carbon everywhere and ita a very coarse and open weave. The inlets have ducati stamped on them in relief. The undertray has what looks like a ducati part no etched into it

  7. The only europa s I saw, I went to look at to buy what I thought was a 94 strada been stood for 20 years. We were a few hundred quid out on the deal so despite driving 12hours round trip we didn’t close the deal. My mate bought it as he checked the vin and knew it was a europa. You win some you loose some. My turn will cone. There were many carbon parts including a small protector for the ohlins shock that I’ve only seen on an first edition sp. Crankcases are sand cast with no paint like the sp. So yes I would think the carbon bling was period correct.

  8. Is the under tray carbon? the very early black plastic mono undertray had no part number at all. The later ones have it in the moulding.

  9. Yes the utray is carbon with the part no etched into the rearmost part of the mould. Will upload pic tonight
