Err didn't AJS fit girder forks like those to the 350 bullet back in the 40's? I know 'retro' is all the vogue now but that's a bit much really!
Each to their own, I do like the green one, though. Something in me says kwackers should either be green or firecracker red (gpz900 version).
I've just recently came from the z1000 to a MTS1200. I've kept hold of my zed just incase me and the MTS don't work out. I can't honestly say a bad work against it. Had a power commander and a set of cans on it and it pulled like a train even whilst 2 up. I didn't like the look of it when I first seen it at the bike show but once I test drove it I softened to the fugly looks. Im sure your mate will like it although I've never ridden a 1098 myself so can't compare them.
Well Guys thanks for All your comments. The cans have been changed to Akropovic GP series cans so that's that taken care of . I need something more comfy now days as our lass likes to go out with me on it, she did not feel safe on the duke. The bike is great to ride and has plenty of bollocks in it, so I ain't worried about keeping up with El Toro :wink:. I have had a couple of sports bikes now,but feel its time to move on ( no more aching wrists ). And yes it may look fugly but at least it's different and I bet I could keep up with you !!!
