  1. "Standard Termignonis"? What're they?

  2. Erm....That'll be the Termignoni's that were fitted as standard to some 748's

  3. 50mm pipes will not fit on 45mm "standard " systems without the 45-50 link pipe! So check if that is included in sale.

  4. Well, you learn something new every day!

  5. They look just std cans to me, tagging as termi is just confusing....

  6. The standard .... Err means standard ie originally equipped as in err...... Standard ..... And termi is .....err termignoni as in ....err..umm the feckin standard cans equipped on the machines that are made for ....... You guessed it....... Umm?? ....Ducati STANDARD as in .... Not open ..... This is a Ducati forum right????

  7. Funny how no one else lists std cans as termi, so must have termi stamped on them then?

  8. That's because not all standard cans were made by Termignoni...

They are stamped as Termignoni as they are made by Termignoni and supplied to Ducati as OE equipment. The other cans Ducati used on the 748 were not stamped Termignoni and were supplied by ALDI or someone.....

I like these ones ££££££££..........but I also like these ones £ Ducati saw the advert and changed who they shop with, like they did with the Marchesini wheels on the 848 and the ALDI ones on the 848 Evo....

  10. My old early 748R had termignoni cans, just not the CF ones. Thy were identical (as far as I could see) to std non-termi cans, just had termignoni bashed on the side.
    Clear?
Suspect it was just marketing bollox.

  11. Okey dokey, I've had an SPS and a 748 and the cans were never stamped termi, hence I asked the question

And no need for anyone to be rude

  12. Why "for you" as in me or us, they are adverts on ebay for you yourself!.........did you advertise them here before ebay.........or are you really just looking to open up your audience...........

still i suppose its better than the posts that say "advertised here..........before i put them on ebay" as if its some sort of ultimatum...........it should say, Advertised here, so i dont have to pay ebay fees.......

    anyway i dont get it........

  13. Totally agree. I have found the users of this forum to be extrememly rude and condescending.

  14. thats interesting because ive found some of the users on this forum to be naive and gullible.............

  15. That would be addressing people then. Seems like my charm school ethics are finally paying dividends. :upyeah:

Certain questions get asked over and over again. Where do I buy this (ducati dealer you nob), will this tyre fit this (check on rim size and look at manufacturers charts you nob). whats the best colour (get some dark glasses you nob). Will hoover belts fit my S4RS (of course you nob). Will my bike look better with gold anodised bits (of course you tacky nob). how much is my mint low milage shed worth (£1000 coz I have to account for my time removing the mag swingarm and yokes you nob).

Anyways, it's good to see the forum in good health with a little healthy banter. Even if Bradders is an overly sensative soul

  16. Hi Bradders,

Thats not me being rude, far from it.
The first paragraph just states the fact that Termignoni did actually supply OE cans at some point, till Ducati had them made else where.

The second paragraph is a tounge in cheek slant on the current ALDI advertising campaign, and aimed at Ducati's cost cutting and moving to 'other manufacturers' to have look a like components made, without paying the price the big manufactures demand of them.

I think that by the virtue that all of you guys are actually using this forum, that you realise it's the best, most active, quickest growing and informative uk based forum at the moment.

It wouldn't get that far with users that were 'extremely rude and condescending'.

Some of you need to lighten up a wee bit and take the time to get to know the the people and thus the context that their posts are written in, before you get too excited and start being rude to the other users yourself.

    Don't worry be happy!
And if that fails try some of the American sites, those guys want to shoot you with a gun if you so much as post when its not your turn.
