  1. Ok so don’t exactly need a guru but I need some help to understand if the connectors in the picture can be moved and reused?

The loom pictured is for the HT leads on an R1, mine is actually okay but the in-line connector for the quickshifter has a plug with a broken retaining clip, so I need to take one from here to replace my translogic loom

I’m pretty rubbish with this stuff so would appreciate the advice, especially around tools required

  2. you should be able to remove the pins from the plug quite easily. if you look down inside the plug, you will see the male/female pin. next to it you will see a little tab locking the pin in. gently push the tab away using a pick and pull from the other side of the plug.
you can buy really nice plug and pin kits and cut both off and renew.

  3. Thanks guys, something I’m a bit nervous with as it’s obv a HT lead but I guess In reality any connector on the bike is there for a reason so failure could be an issue

  4. I don't think that's actually an HT lead, maybe from the ECU to the coils to fire them....

  5. yes know at LT lead going into the coil. HT coming out

  6. Hmmm...

  7. Cool, I’ve ordered some off eBay, which will hopefully do the job
