Hi all, rear tyre (standard Scorpion 2 trail) is looking a little squared off after 4ķ miles from new, just considering what other front & rear tyres are best / available for more road biased grip levels, I have no intention of going off road or even much riding in the wet , anyone got experience with something that will give a bit more confidence when pressing on? Thanks.
Conti TA3 great set off tyres you can push as hard as you want. You could try the M9rr sets , never tried them yet but they may not last long.
I'm going to have a set of of Dunlop RoadSmart 4's fitted when my Scorpion Trail ii's wear out. Only on 2,700 miles so far so got some more life to get out of the O.E hoops yet.
Pirelli Angel GT II would be worth a look. I ran the original GTs on my Benelli Tre-K 899 and on my 2010 Mutley 1200S. They gave decent mileage, handled well and we’re good in the wet. I don’t know how they’ll do on a track if you’re that way inclined.
For maximum dry road grip you could consider Dunlop Sportsmart TTs. Maybe not best for mileage or wet use ? https://twotyres.co.uk/product/dunlop-sportsmart-tt/
Got a set here with 600 miles done , you can have them if you want as I found them a bit stiff with limited feed back . The Mutant is a better feel as tried them at the same time , similar milage . Came off my V4s so not sure if they would fit yours.
Thanks for all your replies, certainly given me some direction, will consider the Conti or Dunlops and share feedback
