  1. Hi guys,

today I washed my baby and I accidentally stripped (don't know if thats the word) one of the screws that goes below the horizontal cylinder head to hold the pipe guard.

Do you know what type of screw it is? I mean, in Italy the screwas are M5, M6, M8 etc. I think in england is the same.

I needto buy new ones. Please help me :frown::frown::frown:

    Thank you

  2. Thank you very much. I found out.

    Thank you ;)

  3. Well obviously no one on here knew the answer, so what is it?

    Thank you in anticipation ;-)

  4. Don't shoot the messenger but if I were you I'd get a set of taps and clean out the tapped hole in case it's got a bit of damage and you make it worse whenever you refit the screw in there. If you catch it early you'll be able to clean it up with a tap but even if it ends up knackered it'll only be a quick job to fit a helicoil in there and it'll be good as new.

  5. looks like a standard M8

  6. I'll try to find new ones tomorrow. Anyway it's an M6. I just didn't know how to measure a screw, never did it before

  7. Just measure the diameter and if using a vernier it will, in this case be close to 6mm so round up (to 6mm). The length is measured from below the head.

  8. M6 socket head. Standard pitch.

  9. It is probably 1mm pitch, as MJW said which is actually refered to as 'coarse pitch' (There is no such thing as 'standard' pitch ).
Otherwise it will be 0.75mm which is 'Fine pitch'.

  10. HI guys, I've been away for a wile. I came back to work :frown:

I sent an email to touratech and they said they will send me new screws, and I think I will not have pay anything for it.

I've always seen ppl complaining about their assistance to the customers, but I must say, it's good...

    Thank you

    Simone
