Kinda re-assuring that you can pay a kidney to have these bikes serviced, but the tech may still eat bananas!
So interestingly, a friend of mine just bought a '21 v4s and just had his run in service. They explained to him that they actually needed the bike for 3.5 hours as it takes so long to fully drain all of the oil out of the bike. He mentioned something about them having to leave it for an hour to fully drain and then also test ride and another wait after to ensure the oil level was correct. Perhaps this is another fiddly Ducati thing
I had this lengthy wait when I had my v4 too. Last week I changed to oil on my Daytona 675 track bike. Left it draining overnight. Manual says 3.2 litres for oil and filter. Or 3.5l for dry fill and filter. It took 3.5l.
Hi, I recently purchased a second hand 1299 and it has exactly the same small leak from exactly the same point on the clutch cover. Please could you tell me how you fixed it in the end? Thank PhilBy
