Hello all just thought I'd say hi instead of lurking in the shadows of the forum. I'm currently in the process of restoring a 1997 748 which my wife has named Bill for obvious reasons.

Unfortunately I don't have any images from the engine rebuild that was carried out on it as it was done by an external garage by the company it came from. From what I've been told though someone had drilled through to the water jacket and back filled it with silicone on previous work that was done. I'm in the process of looking for new forks as mine are completely rotten (according to my local garage) and have been condemned. The bike was in a bit of a state when I got it due to years of neglect and so far has had the rebuild, new rear shock, brakes rebuilt, new fairings, the clocks repaired, new indicators, new grips, new clutch and brake levers and all new fairings bolts and clips.
