Picked up my new Bayliss a week ago from Pro-twins. Had 3 days of reasonable weather to start enjoying her and managed to get 170miles on the clock but a little fearful she'll be stuck in the garage for a few months now. Only mods/additions so far are race (tall) screen, front axle crash protectors, removing the awful euro reflectors on the brake callipers, throttle spacers and optimate euro5 connector charging lead install. Anything else can wait until I've had a chance to ride her more and assess what, if anything, is needed (or takes my fancy). I suspect that some form of paint protection and race-shift pattern rearsets are going to be next.
Good that you found the place, D.O.C. meet every first Saturday at Newlands Corner around 11 am - will be a bit sparse for Dec though. Also :- https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/the-anyone-going-to-boxhill-today-thread.12540/page-524
If I was going to spend 20k on a new bike (I'm not) then this would be it. The race screen looks ace on the bike, see you didn't splash out 3k on the Akra end can......cheap skate!
yep - cheap is about right! I don't really see the point of the Akra can when you still have all the downsides of the hot header loop right under the seat and you end up too loud for most trackdays from what I understand. The std exhaust sounds pretty good as is and I'd rather lose the weight with some nice forged or carbon wheels - when the finances recover a bit. Maybe in time I'll go for a full underseat system like the spark ti - will need to figure out how to get a radiator fan working with it though.
Welcome, I have just agreed to buy a 2022 495 mile Panigale V2! Take it the optimate charge lead was the one that plugs into the DDA socket! I made one for my sons last V4S but while I guess it’s under the seat on the V2 and Baylis can you confirm this? I still have a spare DDA connector so I will probably make a new lead for topping up my battery to plug in there too (pin 1&2) on the sicma connector are +12 v and neutral from memory, fairly sure I confirmed that on here the last time so I will check! Going to also hunt out a plug somewhere that’s switched live and make up a sub-harness to run a fuse supply from the battery switched with a relay from that feed with all the proper plugs for my quad lock phone mount. Enjoy your bike, I know I will as half its miles were me test riding it last year
