  1. About £13,700 all in, so £4800 to restore (paid £8,900 for bike).

  4. Going to look at multi bike policy next time round.

  5. Don't think I'm getting best value there, mate has half a dozen bimota, 999s, 851 & KR1s and pays less.

  6. Think he uses Peter James

  7. Couldn’t agree more my 998 had 38.000 on the clock my 996R 19.000 miles on the clock ,ride the buggers and enjoy.

  8. You could try BeMoto, they were pretty competitive for my 851 SP3 and 1198S (now sold but to be replaced). Also, they don't charge anything for mid-policy alterations, if you're prone to change your bikes often!

  9. Your agreed values with Footman are they on a classic policy.

  10. I don't have any extras like the breakdown, protected bonus, etc, etc. For just twelve months insurance and only six months riding i like low premium prices or it gets very expensive.

  11. Think they did my car for first 3 years I owned.

  12. I think that's a little bit excessive:eek:.........i generally go for quality rides these days or just a quicky.

  13. Tbf there are probably £150 of extras there. 3k miles but eu breakdown cover?

  14. bradders, i've tried three times now, with forty plus minutes on the dog & bone but not improving upon my single polices.

  15. Exactly, but if you travel in europe on a regular basis then that makes sense.

  16. Yeah, milage limit is a bit of a bind. Upped it from 2k to 3k which is about my summers riding worth.

  17. Yeah it’s cheaper for me to insure my bikes separately than all together.

  18. I supposed to do a trip to Texel in Holland, but it never happened. I tried to remove some of the extras but Footman J James said they are part of policy(which they charge for on itemised bill!)

  19. Frustrating but true all depending on what value your machines are, insurance.....a licence to print money in my opinion.

  20. When you come to the renewal date and you don't require then, make sure you've them removed on the day for the new policy.
