I have a Charles strong arm bike lift I am thinking of letting go, only been used a few times, no scratches to paintwork and works perfectly Any ideas on what it would be worth ? Should read CLARKES STRONG ARM
His biggest restriction is his collection only, although to be fair he is in London village so has a good chance of someone with a cruiser bike collecting. If someone arranged collection by a courier they may grab a bargain. I have a motox bike lift and that is too heavy duty for that type of bike, cruisers only IMO.
Here is a picture of the bike lift, bubble is also for sale if anyone is interested Bike not for sale
They retail at £718.80 from Machinemart and go for £415 to £500+ on Ebay depending on location and condition. This one looks mint so I would think it would go for the higher end of the range but of course it’s about finding a buyer who not only wants it but can collect a large and heavy item. Good luck with your sale - it’s a nice lift.
This, https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-cml5-hydraulic-motorcycle-and-atv-lift/ is what I knew as a Strong Arm. I have the pneumatic version of what you pictured, no mention of Strong Arm on mine but irrelevant, it is what it is, GLWS. Andy
I sold one a few years ago, as said the problem is getting a buyer who can collect as it weighs an absolute ton.
For those who actually take a spanner to their bikes, and who've not yet thought they could justify the cost or space of a lift bench such as this one, I have one thing to say. - Buy this bench now. You will not look back or regret buying one, as life working on a bike just gets sooooo much easier.
It's definitely something I want to add to my garage this year, but I'm a bit too far away for this particular one.
I sold my lift (like yours) last year for £300+, and wish I hadn’t now. You’re too far away or I’d have come for yours. It’s worth much more, if you can find a buyer to collect.
Guys - for future reference ‘Strong-Arm’ isn’t a description of a particular product from Clarke - it’s a trademark that they use on a vast variety of their products. They basically stick it on anything!
