A couple of weeks ago, I was sent an email by BT with a link to open a Discovery + account at no extra cost. Didn’t think much about it until I read that Discovery had bought out BT Sport. Just had a browse through the list of Discovery + programmes and found you get WSBK coverage. Just caught up on the Philip Island SuperSport race 2 Andy
So I read. Will have to wait and see what happens later on in the year as I only have the BT Sport app, not the full blown BT Sport. Still, time to make the most of what they’ve given me whilst I’ve still got it. Andy
On the film front Mrs GG & I went to watch Cocaine Bear last night. We were expecting it to be a bit daft but in a funny way; it wasn't. Don't waste your time & money paying for it at the cinema.
Honestly, it wasn't. Talking afterwards we realised we both had it pegged as a crock of about 15 minutes in but there wasn't anything else starting that we could go into, so we stuck it out. A good comedy will have people laughing out loud in a cinema; there was silence.
Emancipation. Will Smith story of the end of slavery and his escape. Not fantastic reviews, but an hour in and sticking with it.
Already said but just watched the last of Funny Women, sky. Can’t recommend enough. Well written great casting, great acting, great production, awesome soundtrack, nice blend of funny and story. 9.5/10
I seem to recall that his sentence has been increased on account of his assaulting prison officers and possibly fellow inmates. Plus he not be entitled to early release on parole due to his behaviour whilst incarcerated, therefore his stay inside for far longer than his original sentencing. I’m not sure on just how many mass and child murderers would be out on licence even in these enlightened times, it can’t be that many. If this were to be the case it would surely be that they’d served their tarif and had proven themselves to be rehabilitated and therefore fit for release. Branson it would seem hasn’t as yet met the criteria for parole.
Watched The Rental on Amazon the other night, that was worth a watch. Also saw The Strays, which was pretty slow, but had quite a good ending. And last night we watched Fall, which was good, but as I don’t like heights, spent most of it with sweaty hands and feet! Still, it gave the dog something to lick other than her arse.
Charles Piutau doing his thing for the Bristol Bears in last nights match against Northampton Saints, with a sublime performance.
No. Seems they do half their time, haven’t stabbed anyone, get let out. Given new name, new location to live, and anyone who exposes that is prosecuted. Bulger murders a good example.
