V4 New To Ducati - Some Advice Please?

  1. It might be worthwhile trying to get a quotation from BeMoto, assuming that you already haven't that is.
I've certainly found them very good in the last 1-2 years on my 1260S.

  2. If anyone is hesitating at the cost of Biketrac, don’t. Here’s an example of how good the service is.

I’m giving the bike a deep clean and lubing bits and pieces underneath like stands, brake pivot etc. I attach the bike to an Abba Skylift and start raising the rear wheel. I get a phone call. Take the phone out of my pocket to answer and see there’s a movement notification alert on my phone’s screen. I answer the call and it’s an operator from BikeTrac checking whether I’m with the bike or not.

I reckon that took about a minute between me starting to lift it and the call. I had omitted to put it in service mode as I didn’t think I needed to, its not moving anywhere other than 4 feet in the air.

Like others I don’t get much discount for having it fitted but the peace of mind it brings is priceless.

Next time I’ll try and remember to put it in Service mode.

  3. The discount to your insurance premiums from ALL security products is capped (otherwise you'd keep adding things and at some point, your insurance premium would be free). So if you already have Trackers, alarms etc declared, you've probably already hit max discount - therefore it's just your peace of mind for what you add after that. Otherwise you'd just layer up more and more until the insurance company paid you to have insurance with them.

  4. Either that, or there are diminishing returns on each additional item.

  5. After much waiting, it should be here shortly! Within the next 20 minutes.

Been waiting for this for SOOO long!!!

Quick question - Anyone know if Roadlok do a model to fit?

  6. I had the XR (2016) bad vibes not completely cured when I tried the 2021mod. Love it manic engine seat shit now have 1260s love of seat not great tried the V4 but don’t like the 19 front and insurance hike . I think you should try all 3 it’s a personal choice

  7. Bit of a late reply as he’s already bought one!

  8. I was seriously getting the hump with it though! I was this close to cancelling my order and getting a BMW instead. I just felt that I was being dicked around by the dealer. Poor / lack of communication. Didn't seem very proactive to take my money. Nobody ever got back to my messages. It all came off in the end though! Happy boy!

  9. They weren't able to put any of the options on it that I wanted though but said they'd order them in and post them to me with a 15% discount so can't really complain. Just means I'll have to get them fitted locally which the local Ducati dealer might be a bit miffed about.

  10. Let’s have a picture of it then.

  11. Yep - see HERE.

  12. Doesn't really do it justice as it was taken late at night and sandwiched between two cars in a V-shape to block it in up against the house as it wasn't insured yet. But here it is. I'll try to get some better photos when the weather improves. Got delivered Monday at 5:30pm and I still haven't ridden it yet!
