Monster 1100s Price Advice

Discussion in 'Monster' started by d8mok, May 10, 2023.

  1. Long time away from here/ Ducati scene so looking for some advice on pricing.

I have a 2010 Monster 1100s in red frame/ pearl white panels, 11k miles , perfect condition and a few tasteful mods (exhausts, open clutch, levers, comfort seat etc)

Im looking to move away from bikes and a family member has expressed interest. Prices seem to be £6- 7K for one... is that about right?

Does the colour scheme help with value being red/white as no others are for sale to compare.

  3. others might add more but price seems about right on that mileage although seasoned owners eventually get bored with it, red just about always comes out on top over white tank/fairings for me. - has it got Termis? Price (to me) seems to have risen slightly for yours as has now almost reached "classic" status and getting rarer. A bit like the first streetfighter, if someone has their sights set on your model alone then will usually pay over the odds but it's a waiting game/won't happen overnight is the bad news.

  4. Not got termi but has SC project carbon cans and a map flashed onto the ECU.

so if I was to sell it at £6k to a family members it’s a fair deal all round ?

  6. what a cracker. ^ :upyeah:

are wheels original paint? does look cherished.

:upyeah: - don't forget this is only one person's view - have you asked same on ukmoc?

  7. Lovely looking bike!

If you want a real world price as a baseline, look up we buy any bike, complete the form and see what they offer you. Its a pretty good place to get an idea.

  8. yes wheels are OE. It’s as clean as you could have a used bike I feel.

I’ve owned since 2011 and serviced with Cornerspeed every year etc.

No I’ve not asked anywhere else but may take a look.

  9. Great bike (I have one too), love the torquey motor and general easy riding nature of these Monsters.

I have no idea of a price but, depending on closeness of family member, why not just let them buy it for what you feel is reasonable - everyone happy then!
(I recall buying a car off my dad many years ago and he sold it to me at book price…not what I was expecting at the time…)

  10. 6K for an "S" with 11k miles, especially when you say serviced by Cornerspeed makes it a fair price for me.

  11. I feel at 6k it’s fair. As likely worth 6.5-7k maybe on the market. I want it to go to a good hime so that’s factored in , but also need the cash towards the next toy.

  12. Cheers for inputs

family member has passed on it as he wanted me to store it which I can’t do so it’s available for sale.
I’ll do a proper advert and pics shortly.

  15. Never rode it? If so, how do you know it’s a great bike?
(I can confirm, as someone who has ridden one, they are indeed great bikes!)
