  1. hi, does anyone know if the 2002 900s wheels fit a 1995 750 straight swop? if not....whats needed.
I have a pair im selling with discs and tyres but the guy wants to know if there'd fit his 750.

    thanks :)

  2. Bearings and swap with old inner spacer possibly for back. Front if spindle is different diameter then as back plus I think speedo drive as spindle might not fit.

  3. so swop bearings in the back wheel, and needs spacer from the 900.
and if the spindle is same size at front just the speedo drive?

  4. First of all find out which wheels and axle are fitted to the carbed 750..........the rears were generally all the same all on 17mm axles but the carbed 900 had a wider rim.

The carbed front wheels had basically two variations although they looked the same............17mm axle version and larger axle version........

They had a different size speedo drive and the machining in the hub reflected this...........although the bearings and spacers can be changed around to suit axles sizes, the speedo drive must be changed as well.

The wheels changed around 1995 which is why I suggest the OP checks the ones on the 750, because the IE ones will almost certainly have a larger axle, unless someone has played around with the bearings etc.

  5. The wheels are physically different in appearance too. The early ones have a narrow spoke at the hub widening at the rim, and the later ones are big at the hub and narrow at the rim. 95 and 2002 wheels should be different I think.

  6. His problem not yours. Sold as seen. You'd have been better off selling to me.

  7. I still have the wheels for sale, I had someone enquiring if they would fit a 750.
    The wheels come with:
    good front tyre and discs
rear tyre is practically on the limit, rear disc and sprocket.
rims are tidy with no flaking or anything.

    i was looking for £250ono

  8. I think the prospective purchaser should do his own research..............there's plenty of info on this forum.....

I'm not saying anything about whether the IE wheels will fit the carbed models...................I always thought they didn't but IIRC somebody said they would.
