  2. If the Busa is all set I’d be inclined to take it.

  3. Busa would be my pick for a multi day trip out of the two.

Drop the R round mine before you leave though

  4. You'll enjoy the first hour or two on the Panigale then by the time you reach your first toll station in France you'll wish you'd taken the Busa.

  7. Take the Pani. Post how you wished you’d taken the Bus-a. Then we can all say “We told you so!”

  8. Busa every time for a European trip :upyeah:
I took my 899 to Saarbrucken in Germany in the middle of a 34c heatwave, the hotel we were staying at was in the middle of town through about 8 sets of traffic lights, by the 4th set of lights you could not sit on the bike seat, it was boiling my spuds, painful  !!
Riding position on the Panigale’s is fine, it’s the engine heat that gets unbearable if the ambient temperature is much above the mid twenties C when you’re doing any town work .

Quite liked the big old Busa when I tested it earlier this year….

I said at the time it would be perfect for a big Euro trip :D:upyeah:

  9. Think its been said already but when i've done longer rides with the group, i have the most fun at the twisty bit in the middle but the getting there, getting back is about the worst bike to be on in the group. People get off the tourers, busa's and MT's like they have been for a walk in the park where as for the last few miles i'm just wanting to get home. Thats before even dealing with the heat if hte traffics bad!

Sadly, love my Ducatis for road and track, but anything over 100miles in a trip then the problems show and you will regret it

  10. The Ardennes are already hitting mid to high twenties, if that helps..

  11. The Ardennes aren’t that far down, take the Ducati :D

  12. Learned the hard way about sports bikes and heat in 2008 with an under seat exhaust R1. Beyond toasty in Southern France and a nightmare at any legal speeds..
Could be worse though, a yellow ltd ed R1 with matching one piece leathers, like one of our group….how we laughed. First at him being like some sort of boil in the bag ready meal, second when every wasp in Provence took a liking to his bike and leathers o_O:joy::joy:

  20. Looking at the bikes going with you, the busa would be best suited. If they were all sports bikes then pani. Plus nowt wrong with a busa. Fast AND comfy (relatively speaking). I like a gixxer and the big gixxer is on my bucket list.
