I placed an order for z04s with motorcycleraceparts this Tuesday AM and they were delivered Wednesday. edit to add - these were for Brembo M4 calipers.
Just had an email from Silverstone about the day. If you fail the drive by, static is 108db. I also notice registration and stuff is at the track and we're in the Heritage Paddock which, given the food vouchers are for the pit cafe, means we're in the National pits ? Andy
My mistake, followed the link in the email and there's manadatory information required. As the sign in documentation is generic, you have to declare your bike meets 102db, despite on the day, it's actually 105db drive by/108db static. There is also a 15 minute rider safety briefing which contains covid information that's 2 years out if date. The final page asks for your preferred dealer and gives you an option to reassign the booking. Andy
Anyone else got problems with their Silverstone booking ? Had several emails telling me to complete the rider indemnity page but my account shows a green tick. No point replying to the Silverstone email as I read somewhere, it can take up to 5 days to respond. Andy
Done a few track days at Silverstone and I also get the same prompt. Going back into the booking and resubmitting it seems to work! Booked the Ducati day in July so might see some of your there!
There will be a few of us, I’ll be in the Moto Rapido garage with my Multistrada 1200, come make yourself known Andy
Same I completed the form but it wouldn't accept my signature, just had an email this morning, logged in, confirmed my personal details & now good to go Andy
Got my group allocation notification this morning, despite the registration hiccup. I will be enjoying a beer in the Green Man on Monday night if anyone else is there and wants to come over and say hi. The pub phoned me a couple of days ago to say they don’t have a chef for Monday so no meals. Staff will be doing chips, onion rings, bread and oil/vinegar and some puddings but that’s it. Garage allocation on the day according to the email so I expect the usual scrum at the Heritage gate next to the cafe, shortly after 7am. Andy
Anyone know which group 1 is? Advanced or novice? Only done a few trackdays & not ready to be chucked in with the fast folks
Silverstone’s website is advertising availability for tomorrow’s Ducati track day if anyone is looking for a last minute place.
A relatively quiet day, numbers wise yesterday, weather wasn’t as forecast, overcast and a some “mental” rain in the morning. Discipline was poor as usual, I got overtaken by someone on the grass at Vale on the first sighting lap and one bike in our group didn’t make the first full lap at pace before hitting the wall at Club which resulted in a red flag and the loss of the session. Scuttlebutt had 3 bikes unrideable after off’s with one of those catching fire. Had a Panigale V4 Superleggera in our garage, 2 Speciales, a couple of V4R’s and great to see a Superlight and a GT1000 being given the beans. Good to catch up with a couple of the usual faces and all in all, not a bad day. Andy
I think you did well to miss out the last session; it all got a bit edgy at first as they let everyone out at the same time. Fortunately after the first lap it all sorted itself out. Good to meet you in person! Ian
There was quite a few no shows yesterday as I guess people saw a less than sunny forecast and decided not to bother Some lovely bikes to see as usual with Ducati days and the v4 with the disc rear wheel was my highlight I was working, so didn’t get any pics (we’re not allowed to take them normally) Hope everyone had a good time
Just got a email that the next Ducati day has been moved from the 8th of August to the 30 th. Unforeseen circumstances
Was a good day, although my legs feel like I've run a marathon today! (Must get fitter!!).. nice to see the usual boys,... I took a couple of pics from our Garage..
