Any experiences of worthwhile upgrades from standard halogen to LED? (I'm aware of potential MOT issues). I wasn't too bothered, but in comparison with son's KTM LED light, it's not so great, so that riding together when it's dark is difficult.
I fitted a uprated halogen to mine ,halfords offered ,standard, fifty percent brighter, and one hundred percent brighter ,i fitted the fifty percent brighter bulb and it is a big improvement ,all for about £10
I found Auxito M4 LED bulb to fit quite easily. Spec is H4/9003, 6000K white, "Motorcycle Headlight application", CE and RoHS. Sharp cutoff, not stupidly bright, it's been doing the job for 6 months or so, about £15 off of that there eBay.
Big difference between my M1200R headlight and the LED's on my Multistrada. Notwithstanding, I don't even ride at twilight. Too many deers here at the cottage where some of which are suicidal.
Use PIAA bulbs, no excessive heat issues and they do heavy duty bulbs for things such as motorcycles.
