  1. Bloody hell! Whoever would have thought that the exact parts you need are available new on eBay!! Lucky find!

  2. Yeh, but I can buy a whole engine for that price from Italy…

  3. "Retail price over £6200”.

    Taking the piss?

  4. Probably not, the Öhlins 748R Pankl rods were around £1800 each retail about a year ago and the journal bolts were north of £90 each. Andy

  5. I might be a little less gung-ho with the wrist in future :worried:

  6. I managed to get a hardly used 749RS crank and Pankl Ti conrods today. Phew!

FYI for anyone interested, the guy with the new ones on eBay has dropped his price to £3000 and sent me an offer of £2700. So he might be open to offers if any of you are interested.

    Cheers, Tom

  7. Not many sellers, but also not many buyers…...

  8. Some people would tell you that a 749RS is a real unicorn.

  9. It does take a lot of effort and money to get the weight down to 161 kilos.
I will have the power output shortly, that may be equally surprising.

  10. Was that Chris steadmans old bike??

  11. there is clearly a problem with his listings...I mean he mentions

    996RS
    998RS
    999RS
    1098RS

not one unicorn or any rocking horse poo....:mask:

  12. I know Chris well, but no, mine is not his old bike, it’s been mine since it was new. However, a friend of mine has Chris’s old bike!
