Multistrada V4 Front And Rear Axle Nut Torque ??

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by dddd, May 30, 2022.

  1. I'm looking for the front and rear axle nut torque for the V4 multi, can anyone help ??

Also the size of the rear axle nut ??

Is there a downloadable workshop manual for the new multi yet ??

I note the owners manual contradicts itself on chain tensioning, at first it suggest to push chain down, then up, then release and take measurement, and the next page it suggest you should push chain down then take measurement whilst holding it down. Over the years I have seen both methods used on different bikes but only one can be correct, which one is everyone using ??

  2. There is a recent thread on this subject, the rear nut on a double sided swinging arm is a 36 mm bi-hex, 180 Nm torque. I don’t know the front of the top of my head, but again I’m sure in a relatively recent thread there was a link to site with all the torque settings. Hth

  3. Thread moved

  4. Think you'll find the front spindle torque is 63Nm...has to be +/- 5%

  5. Front wheel shaft fastener M25 with pitch 1.25 requires a torque of 63Nm, grease B on thread and under thread.

Fastener securing rear wheel shaft to fixed chain tensioner slider - M30 with 1.5 pitch, requires a torque of 20Nm, with Lock 5
Fastener retaining rear wheel pack to double-sided swinging arm - M30 with 1.5 pitch, requires 180Nm
