I feel like I'm already regretting this as I start typing, but for sale is my 2016 Ducati 1299 Panigale which has had no expense spared. I purchased the bike in June 2020 and it's been a joy to own and I've spent a lot to improve the bike in various areas so comes with a lot of extras. The bike has an extensive full Ducati service history detailed as follows 01/03/2016 - PDI 24/06/2016 - 813 miles 11/04/2017 - 5353 miles 04/05/2018 - 10,298 miles (Desmo service) 02/05/2019 - 15,230 miles (Desmo service) 11/06/2020 - 16,574 miles (oil service) 30/04/2021 - 19,408 miles (annual oil service) 07/07/2022 - 22,211 (oil service) 04/07/2023 - 24,060 (annual service) The fact that this bike had received not one but two desmo services before I owned the bike really appealed to me and I've made the point of keeping with the Ducati history. I've changed to oil in between services and in March this year also flushed the brake fluid with Motul RPF660 and fresh ENI coolant. The bike is in brilliant condition and I've cared for it meticulously. During the winter lockdown at the start of 2021, I completed a two-stage paint correction on the bike, removing swirls and scratches from the notoriously soft Ducati paint. After this was completed, the bike had PPF (paint protection film) applied to all sections of the bike excluding the tank at a cost of £450. The film used is the Xpel Ultimate Plus self-healing film meaning that under heat it repairs any light marks that may be picked up. This can be done with a hair dryer or heat gun, but even just leaving the bike in the sun on a hot day, the film will repair itself and still looks stunning now. Full thread on this is here -https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/1299-winter-lockdown-project-detail.85685/ I've made lots of changes and improvements to the bike costing over £2300 which include: - Oberon clutch slave cylinder (the standard one lets air bleed in creating a very spongy clutch lever) - BS Battery lithium battery - Sprint PO8 lifetime oilless air filter - Translogic OEM replacement quick shifter unit (a common failure point, significantly improved shifting feel and performance) - Spider rearsets in GP shift - DID ZVM-X Gold 525 chain (fitted June 2023) - AFAM front and rear sprockets with 41 tooth rear sprocket matching the 1299 R gearing (fitted June 2023) - Evotech lever guard - Evotech upper and lower radiator guards - Healtech exhaust servo delete module - Ducati performance race seat - Ducati performance grips - Ducati performance LED indicators In addition to the above, last November I took the bike to Chris at CJS Racing for a custom map. The reason I chose Chris is that the way he maps is by directly tuning each cylinder with direct exhaust probes for each cylinder, rather than a regular exhaust probe that gives you a compromised map. He's a Ducati expert, and it was a joy to listen to him explain how and why he maps the way he does. The bike was honestly transformed after, resulting in 196whp. But in addition to the power output, the bike is so much smoother and easier to ride, it's the best decision I made with the bike. He also installed the latest Racing Eco software from the 1299 R and Final Edition giving improved TC, AW and slide control performance, this upgrade alone from Ducati is £350. Also included with the sale are the stock seat, pillion seat and footpegs, stock rear sets, stock bar ends, stock rear indicators, spare front hugger, Lightech mirror blanks, indoor cover and c-spanner for chain adjustment. This has honestly been an incredible bike to own, and I'm probably going to regret selling it. It's faultless to ride, puts a smile on your face at every moment and just looks incredible. With the recent service and MOT, the bike doesn't need a penny spending on it until July next year. I've put a lot of hours and funds into this bike, but have loved every minute of it. Only selling to fund a dedicated track bike. Happy to answer any questions and arrange viewing, located in Farnborough, Hampshire. Asking price £10,500
Hi Chris, sorry to hijack your post. what sort of cost was the mapping on your bike. i want to invest a bit into mine over the winter. Thank you
From memory I think it was around £450. Highly recommend Chris at CJS, his map was transformational for the bike in terms of power, power delivery and smoothness, town riding etc.
