Hi, I have a 2017 M1200S which I have had from new. granted it hasn’t been used for a couple of years due to me having been working abroad. It has now taken to displaying a warning triangle on the TFT after a few miles accompanied by the mode indication (Touring / Sport) flashing. This is usually accompanied by the quick shifter chucking its hand in. Another issue which manifested itself after fuelling this morning is intermittent loss of power / cutting. Fuel gauge also plummets to 0 and fuel light flashes although tank is full. It is due s service but I’m hoping the symptoms aren’t pointing to something more serious or indeed terminal. Any views from other owners or similar experiences?
Have you checked all the earths are clean and tight and checked all the connectors especially the one for the screen?
Hope you get some relevant feedback from other owners, I expect you've already posted on ukmoc to cast the net wider? Fingers crossed it's just a light moisture/corrosion problem affecting connections somewhere (as above).
I have the same bike but have not suffered any problems as you describe, however my fuel gauge seems to do it's own thing and has done since new so I wouldn't worry about that bit too much. A service light just lights up a red box with what service is required in it. Where are you
After three weeks it’s back and appears to be all working fine again. new quick shifter - ouch! new fuel tank sender - ouch! rear brake sorted service - minor ouch. Oh and a bill just shy of a grand - Major Ouch!
