Hi all, I’m pondering selling my 899… I’ve only had it since Feb but ridden it 3 times! I love it to bits and it’s mint, but I have too much debt I need to pay off really! it’s not a for sale thread yet, I’ll move it when it gets that far, what I’m looking to understand is what people think the fair market price is for these at the moment. it’s 10500 miles, FDSH up to 8-9k miles I believe, with Indy dealer since then, I’ve just done a water pump and thermostat replacement. it’s as pictured, the carbon heat shields are all full six but I doubt that adds value, maybe just helps it’s stand out a touch. I was thinking of advertising it around £9750-10000? Am I miles off? btw I’m a paid up subscriber so this isn’t a cheaky for sale add
Spot on in spring you might be waiting a while in October though (as you probably know). Shame you need to sell mate, as with me i'm sure the bug will bite again in the future.
Having a quick look what’s for sale they seem to be listed at £8800-£10000 with similar milage so yes seems about right.
yeah, I think it’s looking that way, I’ll try to hang on until after Christmas, but if I’m honest with myself it’s the only sensible thing to do. I just wanted to get a feel for values, some dealers were trying to get £10500 for clean ones but not sure if the market has softened a little, maybe it’s £9500 in spring if I can hold on. I wouldn’t lose money at that price, I paid around that. But I think that’s probably top dollar for them
my two penneth, dealer prices include vat, so if selling private people expect to pay less, no warranty sold as seen etc mine is very similar, 12k miles, been pondering a v2 but owes me at least £11k, if i were to sell id be happy to get £9000, there's no way someone would pay £11k but all depends on how long you are prepared to wait the V2 on AT with termis was originally up for £14,995 but was slowly dropped to £12500, now sold personally if it was a case of paying of a debt or selling the bike id go work as a rent boy
I paid 10500 for my mint 2015 model with 5k miles otc in spring time (privately on here) if that helps. Termis and all oem parts included plus FSH
yes thanks mate, you are a better guide than comparing it to a Panigale V2 as they are a current model so no rarity, not arguing that in some peoples eyes the V2 is a better bike (I personally don’t agree hence why I owned a V2 and now own an 899). I wouldn’t ask for over £10k for it tbh, I’d be sub £10k and was tempted to offer mine when you got yours but a bit like now I was still not 100%
