Difficult Finding Mechanic For Older Ducatis?

  1. That is exactly what I was going to type in reply to the OP. This is absolutely Geoff Baines territory.

  2. I can recommend these guys, http://www.ocservice.co.uk/, a bit of an anachronism in today's modern manufacturing age, a machine shop out of it’s time ….. proper engineering workshop, traditional machine tools requiring skilled machinists alongside CNC stuff. Andy

  3. Ducati 2v engines are easy to work on but if other problems are found costs can rise very quickly. The vertical cylinder can be removed with the engine in the frame but extracting a broken stud can be tricky, better with engine on stand. If you could remove and replace the engine yourself costs will be reduced. I am retired now but would take this on as I have the time, the only problem is my location(Tipperary). Perhaps there is someone in a similar position to myself in the UK who would take this job on for you?
